Who we are

Karibu! (Welcome!)

TAFCOM(Tanzania Ambassadors Facilitating Community Development Methodologies) is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) that has been working in Tanzania since 2005. Our principle goal is to initiate, facilitate and promote initiatives with a focus on poverty alleviation and human rights. Working in close partnership with our community, TAFCOM aims to foster opportunities for development with long term sustainability.

Background Brief

TAFCOM was founded in response to the declining standards of living, healthcare, and education in Tanzania. Recognizing the struggles of marginalized communities, the founders established TAFCOM as a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering people with knowledge, resources, and support to address pressing challenges. Our work began in 2005 by tackling HIV/AIDS in the Kilimanjaro region, focusing on education, prevention, and community support for affected families. Over time, TAFCOM expanded its efforts, encouraging collective action and addressing broader community development needs to build a better future together.
